Podcast episode 98 is available by clicking below. It is also available on iTunes, Pocket Cast, and Spotify under the travel architect.
We’re back from our 2,500-mile sojourn and ready to reminisce! The joke hints at things to come, while the national day pulls us backward in time and puts the husband right to sleep. His Travel Quiz will remind you to Never Eat Soggy Waffles or Shredded Wheat. We rejoice over the end to travel testing requirements and reveal how I came within a keystroke or two of a revenge travel trip to Mexico before prudence and practicality prevailed. Then—finally!—we reflect on the trip itself: we offer several ideas for new Nebraska welcome signs, we learn the strange but true tale of a spontaneous and very last minute blog buddy meet up across from a gas station, and we divulge the secrets of the springs…

I was teaching a 4th grade class last year and asked which direction is Africa to Europe, and the whole class called out “Soggy!” I was very confused for a minute until I figured it out. We learned it as Shredded Wheat but I think Soggy Waffles is better.

I’m a little (okay, a lot) behind on my podcasts, but I finally gave this a listen. I appreciated the review of Glenwood Springs hot springs, because we’ve never been to any of them but would like to visit at least one of them. Sounds like a great first half of your trip, looking forward to part two!

And I’m behind on my blog reading! In the next couple of weeks I’ll be putting out a post that’s specifically about Glenwood’s 3 springs, so stay tuned!
