What a lovely collection of beautiful window photos. There is something about doors and windows. They are full of patterns, designs and textures, and they have this ability to tell us about the culture and history. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day. It’s finally nice and sunny in Sligo 😀 Aiva

Thank you, Aiva! I got the idea to do a windows post when I was making my doors post. Sifting through doors photos I realized I had caught some nice windows, too! Enjoy the sun!

Hi Pam, if you think lake Como is dreamy, you’d better take a look at lake Maggiore, few miles away from Como. You’ll love it.

True to form I like the windows from France the best. They have a vibe I can relate to. Happy Kindness Day!

Nice set of windows! I especially loved the first on with the carved shutters. I really want to get back to Italy and that view of Lake Como looks like just the place to spend a week… or a month… or two.

Great pics! I love them all but I think my favourites are tied between Lake Como and Porto Venere. I’ve been thinking about doing a similar post.

Love this! I, too, have a low-key fascination for windows during my trip. Goes hand-in-hand with architecture of buildings and houses, so I appreciate your take on the smaller structures wherever you go! 🙂

Whew. For a second there I thought this was going to be a post showing a bunch of computer screens across the globe. As a Mac guy, I would’ve had to take a hard pass.

Oh dear. Sorry to alarm you like that. It hadn’t occurred to me that my title could be taken a different way. That must have been very distressing. I hope I didn’t do any long term damage. 🙂

What a great idea! It’s amazing what something as simple as a window can do for your mind….always imagining what’s on the outside, or inside for that matter!

Thank you! I was scouring my photo files for pictures of doors for my recent “doors” post and I kept finding pictures of windows, so there you go! 🙂
