After the requisite Thanksgiving-themed joke, I use the national day to expose the husband’s utter mishandling of the task of pillow-buying. Getting into the spirit of the season, the husband tests our knowledge of holidays around the world on the Travel Quiz, and we get a bit earnest and solemn while giving two thumbs up to the spiritual bucket list destination in India. Next, we discuss the riveting topic of my recent changes to the blog’s drop-down menus (my mastery of the tech involved is so noteworthy it deserves its own national day), and then jump tracks back to travel, with a focus on unusual and interesting museums in Philly and across the US. Finally, we learn of an exciting development at the Travel Architect’s place of employment that has her dreaming of late spring travels. Happy Thanksgiving all.  We appreciate your digital friendship.

  1. The menus look great… inspiring! I find myself thinking about categorizing sections of my own blog (in a different way). I don’t have anywhere near as many entries as you, but eventually I will. Thanks for the inspiration. Happy holidays to you both, hope you get to the UK. I’m in Canada visiting my brother and had to wade through the testing requirements to get here. It’s doable.

    1. I’d be willing to let go of the idea of a Travel Architect Masters Technology national day if my school district would just give me an additional day off to mark the occasion. A perfectly reasonable request, if you ask me. Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Yes, go to Philadelphia! That city has a lot to offer for a long weekend getaway. Also, I can’t remember if it was this episode or the previous one where you mentioned Charleston, but when you go there, make sure to leave time to explore the islands in Beaufort County too. In my opinion, Beaufort has a more beautiful harbor than Charleston does, though you can easily spend a few hours roaming around Charleston just looking at the houses and gardening. The islands have a lot of interesting places to visit, though, and Hunting Island State Park has some nice hikes and beaches.
