Back from our travels less than 24 hours, we manage to get out a joke and national day, but not much else before launching into the second half of the husband’s interview with our construction guy. Afterward, the husband can’t resist poking fun at my discombobulated re-entry into the world of flying as I struggled to get all my airplane necessities—crosswords, pen, book, reading glasses, headphones, other headphones, special converter jack thingy for my headphones—in order before takeoff. Buckle, unbuckle, reach for the carry-on, put back the carry-on . . . It’s all in a day’s flying with the Travel Architect.

Airplane necessities! I like that phrase. I immediately flashed in my mind to what mine are/would be if’n we ever go somewhere by plane again.

Nice guy, enjoyable conversation. I felt like I was sitting there with them holding a cup of tea.

If you haven’t already written a blog post about airplane essentials, I for one think that would be an interesting read!
