Our first ELC of the summer season brought in a number of responses but there was one that stood out. It was the Northwest Angle, or Angle Inlet.

The Northwest angle is very difficult to reach, and is usually reached by boat or plane. Driving there requires several border crossings and a robust vehicle (lots of gravel miles). Well this week’s conundrum takes you to a very different place. I’ll give a little hint and say that we have never visited and (as a bonus) it is not within the U.S.
Go ahead and grab your atlases, have a ponder and leave your answers in the replies below, or send directly to thetravelarchitectblog@gmail.com. Good luck!
Tough one. Fuzhou, China?

Wow! Thanks for the shout out! (I think that’s me 🙂 ). So, I got confused at obtuse/acute. I went to triangle rather than angle, and it was all downhill from there. Loved the explanation and learning about this place and the phone booth, which I now must visit and call in my immigration!
As for this new one, yikes, just don’t know again. Will wait for the answer next week!

Yes, it was you. 🙂 I felt bad that I’d promised it would come out on Wednesday and then the day just got away from him, so I instructed him to acknowledge that gaffe. 🙂

I’m new to your site and listened to the mystery last time. I tried to solve it but then realised it was US-centric and gave up, as I’m not from the US. A lovely idea though, and the podcast was done so professionnally! 🙂

Thanks so much for the feedback and for giving it a go. Actually, a lot of them have answers from around the world and the husband tries to make sure it’s not focused solely on the US. (He’s not from the US either.) The most recent episode is far from the US. Thanks for writing in, listening, and reading!

Maybe I’ll try the recent one then, although I probably still won’t get the clues! 😄

They can be hard, but not always. I often don’t get the right answer and I’m married to the creator! 🙂

Dude! Could you make this any harder? I thought it might be one of the delisted UNESCO world heritage sites, but none of them seem to fit with your other clues. Arggghh, husband!

I didn’t know about this strange little angle of land pointing north. Always learning!
