The Travel Architect & The Husband Team Up to Talk About Travel (Mostly)

Podcast episode 38 is available by clicking below.  It is also available on iTunes and Pocket Cast under the travel architect.  It can take up to 24 hours to be available in iTunes.

After an apropos virus-related joke, we manage to spend a lot of time talking about pizza, even though the national day has nothing whatsoever to do with that loved/loathed food.  Given the lack of football (soccer) the husband has changed the Arsenal Update to the Bike Packing Update.  (Here’s hoping it doesn’t change back.)  The Travel Quiz is a must for music lovers, and paradoxically, the Travel Architect did pretty well despite getting most of them wrong.  A fascinating Japanese digital art museum is discussed before delving into the depressing topic of cancelling our summertime trip to two European countries hit hard by coronavirus.  I do hate ending on a downer.  We’ll aim to fix that next time.  Until then, stay safe and stay sane.

  1. I love your recaps (precaps?) and the title here is first-rate. I really need to listen to your podcast more often! Like Ally Bean, I’ve often thought about doing one, too. I want to team up with Tara but she is less enthused over the idea than I am.

    1. Thank you so much! The husband insists on quirky titles that leave the listener with no idea what the episode will be about. Helpful, huh?

I gave several unequivocal “nos” before the husband finally wore me down and I relented. Also long as he leads the pod and does all the tech/audio engineer stuff, I’ll do it. It’s actually grown to be quite fun. Keep up the pressure… she’s bound to cave at some point. 😉

  2. I just checked my blog email and received your message about the comment problem on my website. Thanks for giving me the heads up! I didn’t realize this at all and it wasn’t intentional. It seems that the Discussion checkboxes to allow comments and pingbacks was disabled on several of my old posts dating back to my Vietnam trip! WordPress can be wonky…

  3. A podcast first but you broke me on the quiz with the Kokomo, Indiana music inspired song answer. I burst out laughing in the office and had to pause for a few minutes to compose myself before I could start listening again. Kokomo wasn’t a place I’d heard of but good to know what the Beach Boys were singing about.
