The Travel Architect & The Husband Team Up to Talk About Travel (Mostly)
Podcast episode 43 is available by clicking below. It is also available on iTunes and Pocket Cast under the travel architect. It can take up to 24 hours to be available in iTunes.
The Travel Architect goes rogue and replaces the joke (one week only!) with a rhyming word game and then proceeds with another exciting office supplies-themed national day. We learn from the husband that soccer just isn’t the same without the cacophony of screaming fans, and then he drops a bikepacking bombshell on the Travel Architect, who wonders if her style is about to be cramped. Finally, the husband—lover of Small Town, USA—takes aim at creators of “50 best” lists of small towns in America.

I agree with the husband about most of the towns on the list (of which I’ve been to about 6-7). Although there are a couple of exceptions, most of the places would all blend together. Regarding Kanab, Utah, if you’re able to go, check out Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. We spent the night there and brought a little puppy into our cottage after taking him on a walk. It was all to help with his socialization. It was such a special time.

Ooh. I’m going to look that up. Thanks for the tip!

You do have to wonder why some small towns make lists while other ones don’t. The cynic in me says it’s because some small towns pay money to be listed while others do not. 🤷♀️

Quite possibly. The husband would say it’s because that town has the most salt water taffy shops. 😉
