***Update: Apologies if you clicked the play button below and heard episode 82.  The reason is: I goofed.  I forgot to replace last week’s media file with the current one.  It should be all fixed now here on the blog.  On i-tunes and other places . . . not quite sure how that’s going to get sorted out.***

***Update to the update: I think it’s all fixed now!***

After a joke that honors the start of the soccer season and some national days that will pile on the pounds (if you observe them, as we plan to), the husband stumps me with a stadium-themed Travel Quiz.  After that we wrap up the bucket list destinations of the 50 states (plus D.C.) and I can finally delete that web page from my phone.  We learn which of our planet’s countries are the safest to travel to, and find out just where the U.S. sits on that list. I then make several TV show recommendations that I try desperately to connect to travel.  Finally, a little solo trip of mine is discussed before we reveal our holiday travel plans.

Episode 83: A Tidy Title Eludes Us
The “doors” puzzle. An addictive time-suck, but I loved it.
Two attempts at toasting National Red Wine Day on National Red Wine Day. Finally got it right the second time.
The husband and bun enjoying our new pet stroller.

  1. Thank you so much for taking time from a busy Holiday weekend to share the smattering of travel tips you did in this episode. I thoroughly enjoy listening to the Travel Architect and Husband’s travel riffs and bandying about on the subject of great vacationing~ Have a wonderful start to the school year, and may all the students enunciate as clearly as the two of you~ 🙂

    1. Why thank you! It sounds like you were able to access the correct episode instead of a repeat of the previous episode. Whew! The husband has started teaching students already and it starts for me tomorrow. Here’s hoping we don’t catch the Delta variant! Stay safe, John!

  2. I’ve been listening to this on my commute this week and finally finished it. Thanks for the shoutouts 🙂 I can’t wait to read about your MN getaway and your future summit of Eagle Mountain!

  3. Oh, I thought I was much further behind on these than I realised. Good to see I’m ‘only’ 15 episodes behind haha.
Enjoyed the stadium and venues travel quiz on this one, certainly some iconic stadiums and venues around the world that I hope to visit myself. I did chuckle at you asking what the “MCG stood for” though.

Also interesting that this was the podcast that you announced plans for the festive England trip and the highly anticipated flights home! Shame that didn’t go quite to plan but looking forward to catching up on the rest of the pod!

    1. Only 15 hours or so of listening to our voices? That’ll only be a little grating – haha. This episode was long enough ago that I had to re-ask the husband just now what MCG stood for. 🙂
Just the other day the husband was ribbing me (for the nth time) about how I got to fly back first class while he ate Pot Noodle trapped in a hotel room. Poor dearie.
