The Travel Architect & The Husband Team Up to Talk About Travel (Mostly)

Podcast episode 63 is available by clicking below.  It is also available on iTunes, Pocket Cast, and Spotify under the travel architect.

The husband found my most excellent joke a tad laborious, but the national day brought to light how we are starting to experience genuine travel withdrawal. The husband fashioned an odd travel quiz this week, inspired by a Paul McCartney song. After important luggage and burger holder updates, we learned some cool new words, then went on to discuss Travel & Leisure’s® “2021 Destination of the Year” (Italy) and the ten travel mistakes they say one should avoid when heading to the southern European country.  Finally, we discuss several ways we’ve traveled without traveling, which can in no way substitute for the real thing, but it’s all we’ve got for now.

Episode 63: What’s a Womble?
Owner of world's largest collection of Womble memorabilia is to sell it after 35 years of collecting

  1. Oh, the Scottish or fictional bit to the quiz definitely needed clarifying haha. I presumed at the start it was either a Scottish place or a place in another country so I started badly!
I do have sympathy for the husband on the UK section though as my guess would have been Yorkshire as its own county. Thoroughly enjoyable podcast this week though, nice to see the Wombles make their way in to things!

P.S – I think Duomo means cathedral in Italian, much in the same way that the German word for cathedral is ‘Dom’.

  2. We, too, are beginning to experience genuine travel withdrawal. I haven’t been anywhere in over two years. I’ve never been this housebound, even as a wee baby. Still, here I am waiting. I like the wombles. They are cute.
